The business behind the screen.

ABOUT   /   FRAME / LINE

Film doesn't end at the frame.

Frame / Line follows the choices that bring film and television to audiences - and the people making them.

A film can win a festival room and still struggle to find its next screen. A series can reach millions without viewers knowing who bought its rights, shaped its release or helped it cross a border. Those decisions affect what gets seen, where it appears and how long it stays in the conversation. Frame / Line exists to make that part of screen culture legible.

The editorial focus is on acquisitions, sales, marketing, distribution and exhibition: not as jargon, but as decisions with consequences for filmmakers and audiences. Latin American cinema and its routes onto London screens are part of that continuing focus.

The project is new and is building its reporting in public. Festival access matters because the most useful questions sit with programmers, filmmakers, distributors, sales teams and exhibitors. Access is a means to better reporting, not a claim of affiliation.

For people who love films and television, this is a way to see beyond the trailer and the red carpet. For people who bring that work to screens, it is a place where the labour behind a release gets understood.
